Favorite Way to Save Water:
WE love to save water every way we can in Glastonbury, Connecticut! We share with others about how they can save water too, and our involvement with PLAYPUMPS INTERNATIONAL.
The Goal:
If each of 7 Glastonbury Public Schools (GRADES K-6)sell over 50 cases (24 bottles per case) of WATER 4 WATER this coming school year (2008-09), will will reach our goal of $14,000. We are halfway (over $7,000)to the purchase of a SECOND PlayPump after efforts in our district during the 2007-2008 school year. Many thanks go to all of our sponsors, especially the students at Farmington High School, who donated much of the profits from their June Charity Ball ($1,900!) to the WATER 4 WATER project, and to the restaurants in Connecticut who participated in the TAP 4 WATER Project on Earth Day, where over $1,000 was raised by selling tap water. We would like to donate our SECOND pump to rural Africans as soon as possible, the need is so great! IMPORTANT: ONLY CREDIT CARD DONATIONS WILL BE POSTED ON THE THERMOMETER ON THIS PAGE-OUR WATER SALES TOTAL WILL BE UPDATED MONTHLY IN THIS PARAGRAPH.

PLAYPUMPS INTERNATIONAL is doing great work and the people involved are amazing! Kate Grabowski Clark, a teacher in our school district, was lucky enough to travel to South Africa in August of 2007 to celebrate our FIRST sponsored PLAYPUMP, and spent time with the special people working so hard to provide clean water for those in need... it was an unforgettable experience!
